About Manuel

Manuel founded Better Life Decisions in 2023 to create a unique platfom to enable professionals to make better life decisions in the areas of personal growth, career management, and financial planning.

He decided to create the company after suffering a heart attack in 2022. Luckily, he suffered no damage, but it represented a big wake-up call that made him reflect on how he wanted to live life moving forward.

Feeling he had an accomplished career, he also realized he could have done even better with the right advice for his career and personal life development. That became his driving force to give back and help others be their best.

Before founding Better Life Decisions, Manuel was Vice President for Pepperdata’s Partners, Alliances, and Business Development strategies for autonomic big data optimization solutions. Before Pepperdata, Manuel was FICO’s Sr. Director of Strategic Alliances and Partner Development operations, leading OEM and reseller partnerships with technology providers that augment and complement FICO’s product portfolio. Manuel joined FICO from Kaazing, a real time enterprise web communications company where he lead business development efforts and drove initial OEM partnerships. Before Kaazing, Manuel ran business development and sales for ScaleMP, a virtualization company in high-performance computing. Manuel also led market and business development efforts at Meiosys (acquired by IBM), 3PAR (acquired by HP). He held management positions at Silicon Graphics for business intelligence solutions, marketing, and international business development.

A Swiss native, Manuel holds a BS in electro-mechanical engineering from ECAM (Belgium), a degree in business administration from the University of Leuven (Belgium), and a certificate in international marketing from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

When not busy with work, you will find Manuel sailing the San Francisco Bay.
